Field test feedback · v0.1

We need your input!

Please fill this in after using the app for at least three days. There are no wrong answers. Unflattering answers are the most useful ones.

Before you start
Part 1 — Did you keep using it?

The single most important question. If it got closed, that tells us more than anything else.

1. How many days did you actually open it?
2. On the days you used it, roughly how long was it running?
3. Did you ever close it or hide it on purpose?
If yes, what made you close it?
4. Did you ever forget to open it?
5. Be honest — did you keep using it because it helped, or because you were asked to test it?
Part 2 — Did you notice the ring?

The ring is meant to work in the corner of your eye, without you looking at it. We need to know whether that actually happened.

6. While you were talking, did you notice the ring change?
7. Did you ever catch yourself speaking up because of it?
8. Did you find yourself staring at it instead of at the person you were talking to?
9. Was it distracting?
Part 3 — Did it seem right?
10. When you spoke at what felt like a normal volume, was the ring lit?
11. Did the ring ever light up when YOU weren't the one talking? (check all that apply)
Yes — from other noise (please say what):
12. Did the ring ever stay dark when you were sure you were being loud?
13. Did the light feel encouraging, or like being nagged?
14. What percentage did it usually show at the end of a day? (roughly) If it was under about 40%, the target was probably set too high — worth telling us, because that's our problem to fix, not yours.
Part 4 — Setting it up
15. Did you install it yourself, or did someone do it for you?
16. Did you do the "Measure the room" step?
17. Did anything about getting started confuse you?
18. Was the ✕ / tray icon behaviour clear — that hiding it keeps it running?
19. Did you read the How To Use guide?
Part 5 — How it looks
20. The size of the pill was:
21. The ring's brightness was:
22. The green colour was:
23. Where it sat on screen (bottom-right) was:
24. Did the words ("Heard" / "Louder") help?
Part 6 — Did it make a difference?
25. Did anyone comment that you were easier to hear?
26. Did you have fewer moments of being asked to repeat yourself?
27. Did using it make you more aware of your volume even when it was closed?
28. Was it tiring to use?
29. Would you keep using it if we changed nothing?
30. Would you recommend trying it to someone else with Parkinson's?
Part 7 — In your own words

These matter more than all the boxes above. Please write something, even briefly.

31. What was the single most annoying thing about it?
32. What, if anything, actually worked?
33. If you could change one thing, what would it be?
34. Where would you want this instead of on a computer screen? (At meals? In the car? On your wrist? Somewhere else?)
35. Anything else — including anything you didn't like but felt awkward saying
For a care partner or family member, if one was around
36. Did you notice a difference in how easily you could hear them?
37. Did the app change the feel of your conversations, for better or worse?
38. Did you find yourself reminding them to speak up more, or less?

Thank you. Negative feedback is genuinely more useful than positive here — it's a first prototype, and the point of this test is to find out what's wrong with it.
